Nate grew up in a pastor's home that served churches across the Midwest from Louisville, KY, all the way to Las Vegas, NV. He's a graduate of Lincoln Christian College and has served in the local Church for the past eighteen years in every role imaginable. From children’s ministry to leading youth, creative teams, and even being the interim women’s pastor at one point. He also served as Lead Pastor for five years. His greatest passion is coming alongside people right where they are and helping them move forward in Jesus.
In 2024, Nate founded a collaborative company called Moments to Movements. Which comes alongside senior-level leaders to help navigate personal and organizational change. He lives in Southern Indiana with his beautiful bride of eighteen years, Ruthie, their three kiddos, Lily, Carter, Zeke, and their co-dependent dog Chewie.
Jesus asked 307 questions of His followers, religious leaders, and people desperate for hope. If He’s King, why so many questions? Two words: “Deep Waters.” Jesus knows that if we’re going to become men of His character, tenacity, and purpose, it won’t happen through shallow living but by entering the deep waters of our hearts. “The purposes of a person’s heart are deep waters, but one who has insight draws them out.” (Proverbs 20:5) This weekend, we will leave behind shallow living and allow Jesus to draw out of us His life-giving, soul-satisfying, in-over-our-heads deep waters.
Located in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, nestled next to the Plumas National Forest, the historic town of Woodleaf had its start as a stagecoach and hotel stop during the California gold rush in the mid 1800s.
Owned and operated by Young Life since 1966, it is now an exciting summer camp and retreat center. You will find great service, fun activities, and excellent facilities here among the tall trees of Northern California at Young Life’s Woodleaf!
